Ride the local Cass County snowmobile trails at SnowJam 2015!

The snowmobile trail ride for SnowJam 2015 will start and end in Mapleton, ND, following more than 100 miles of freshly-groomed trail spanning across Cass County. This event is considered one of the area’s premier snowmobiling events and, on average, more than 150 snowmobilers take part. You’ll want to be there with them!

The trail runs along more than 100 miles of freshly groomed trails.

SnowJam 2015 to feature vintage snowmobile display and ride

Vintage snowmobile enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Ryan Mayer Vintage Snowmobile Display and Ride at SnowJam 2015 on Feb 21 in Mapleton, ND.

During the show, prizes that will be awarded will include Best of Show and People’s Choice. In addition, the Ryan Mayer Vintage Snowmobile Ride showcasing the vintage snowmobiles will take place from Hagge’s in Mapleton.

Tentative SnowJam 2015 agenda

Here’s a sneak peak at the SnowJam 2015 agenda — but we’re open to your new ideas. Share them below!

9 AM—Registration for vintage snowmobile show or the regular trail ride — You can start anytime you want, just be back at Hagge’s for the 6 PM start of the drawings and awards.

9 AM-Noon —Vintage snowmobile show

The Ride — once you’ve completed the Rural Cass Snowmobile Club south loop, feel free to head over the to Red River Sno-Riders trail or do a 2nd loop and collect more ride tickets (more tickets = more chances for prizes)

1 PM—Vintage snowmobile awards; followed by Ryan Mayer Vintage Snowmobile Ride

6 PM—Ride complete

6:30-8PM—Social and tons of games and prizes

6:30 PM—Drawings and awards

8 PM—Grand prizes

9 PM– Band sponsored by Hagge’s Bar and Grill

John Deere vintage sleds win SnowJam 2014 trophies

Two John Deere vintage snowmobiles took home the trophies at SnowJam 2014. Eleven vintage sleds were displayed and three braved the local trails to take their vintage snowmobiles for a ride.

Warren Zitzow of Moorhead was the Best of Show winner in the SnowJam 2014 vintage snowmobile display. The sled he displayed is a John Deere JDX8 that his son and son-in-laws restored for his 70th Birthday last year.

Last year Troy Ness of Kindred won Best of Show with his 1972 450 John Deere but this year, he took home the People’s Choice trophy instead.

Stop out next year for SnowJam 2015 and maybe you can get a glimpse of one of these two winning vintage sleds.

Each year at SnowJam, we give away 3 cash prizes and a few other items for those riders who have been collecting tickets from our event sponsors.
